The materials in this series document the dissemination of information, propaganda, public opinion and concerns for the "post war order" during the years 1941-1942, during which time Grover Wayward served in the government. Many of the memorand are addressed to Archibald MacLeish, then Librarian of Congress, who served as Director of the OFF.

The Wayward family papers includes material from several Wayward descedents living in the 19th and 20th centuries, and was collected by variou family members.
