Scope and content:

This series contains a variety of correspondence from both veterans and non-veterans, covering a diverse list of topics tangentially related to the book "The Greatest Generation" including but not limited to: short biographies of vets; political commentary; social commentary; veteran organizations; veteran reunions; corrections to the book; history research; criticism of the book; suggestions for future books. Also included is correspondence from veterans who served in Korea and Viet Nam. Alphabetical by name of correspondent, with folder level description of contents that lists specific information (if known) about dates, military branch, theater of operations, and subject matter. NOTE ON DESCRIPTION: Folder contents are generally described using a standard format. The field "Veteran: Yes/No" refers to the correspondent; the field "Subject:" indicates whether the correspondent is discussing themselves or another veteran. "N/A" means the information was not provided.
