The daughter of Polish immigrants, she possessed an early aptitude for the piano, and was quickly recognized as a child prodigy. As early as age seven, she began learning proficient use of the piano at the New York College of Music by pianist Alexander Lambert. At age eight, she made her piano debut at the New York Symphony Orchestra. Early on, she studied and toured Europe with such composers as Leopold Godowsky, Ferruccio Busoni, and Herman Spielter. Throughout her career, she composed 366 piano pieces entitled \"My Musical Calendar.\" The University of Miami awarded Manna-Zucca with an honorary doctorate degree in Music on May 19, 1974. She passed away in her home in Miami, Florida, on March 11, 1981.","The Mana-Zucca Collection contains the works, personal papers, photograph albums, scrapbooks, handwritten music and compositions of the American actress, singer, pianist and composer Augusta Zuckerman.
