Included is a listing of the airmen who were held as prisoners of war, including their squadrons, positions on the plane (e.g. pilot, gunner), the date, mission, and what country or stalag in which they were held. The footage of the reels may or may not be listed in chronological order.","As part of the Special Collections and University Archives, the Home Movie Archive seeks to collect 8mm, Super 8mm, and 16mm home movies, captured mostly from late 1930s through the end of the 1980s, which have cultural, historical, scientific, or artistic significance, with a focus on Central Florida and its residents.","The aim of creating a Home Movie Archive is to ensure that the valuable social and historical information, captured by ordinary citizens, be preserved as part of the Special Collections and University Archives permanent holdings-a non-circulating collection whose use is confined to the Special Collections reading/research room.","The UCF Libraries will administer, permanently house, preserve, inventory, process, maintain, and make available a Home Movie Archive to the public, researchers, and scholars, in accordance with the UCF Libraries' established policies and procedures.","Most of the footage was donated during the University of Central Florida Film Department's Home Movie Day events from 2010 through 2013 with individual donations thereafter until 2014.
